ELEV（Elevation Workshop）是一家国际性跨学科的建筑设计事务所。ELEV成立于纽约，于2009年正式成立北京办公室。ELEV立足于建筑与艺术的相互交织，关注东西方的文化交融和城市研究。基于对建筑技术与材料的深入了解，将设计与其所在的人文历史、社会以及自然环境紧密地联系在一起，创造细腻丰富的人文建筑与空间。并把对品质与个体体验的追求贯彻到建筑及其设计过程中的每一个细节。 ELEV创始人魏娜毕业于清华大学建筑系和耶鲁大学建筑系，创始合伙人Christopher毕业于美国罗德岛艺术学院。他们在中国、美国都有着对不同尺度项目的丰富设计经验。创始人不同的领域和不同的背景，为公司带来了积极互动的环境和宽广的国际视野。 作为在中国最活跃的年轻事务所之一，ELEV目前的项目包括从几十万平米的大型综合中心、几万平米的超五星级酒店到几千平米的美术馆及规模更小的高端时尚零售店等，并与世界顶级建筑师事务所一同受邀参与了包括北京、天津和内蒙古政府的多个重要项目的设计。ELEV的设计已被包括时代建筑、domus、Gestalten、六耀社等世界十几个国家的几十个杂志和出版社报道，并受到多个奖项的提名。同时，ELEV也受到了包括经济观察报、中国建设报等各领域多家媒体的专访，并在世界多个国家的大学举办了建筑讲座和参与建筑评论。 ELEV (Elevation Workshop) is an international multi-disciplinary architecture and design firm. Originally founded in New York, ELEV established its Beijing office in 2009. Positioned at the crossroads of art and architecture, ELEV values a culture blend and issues of urbanism, as well as innovative and traditional construction techniques and materials. ELEV aspires to create a delicate, rich, and cultural humanistic architecture, carrying on the pursuit of quality and a personal experience to every detail of the built form, the spatial dynamics and the design process. The ELEV founder WEI Na is a graduate of Tsinghua University Architecture School and completed her Master of Architecture from Yale University, while Christopher Mahoney has a Master of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design and was the owner of a design and fabrication business based in New York for over twenty years. Between the two partners there is a wealth of project design experience of vastly varying scales enhancing a positive interactive environment and a broad international perspective. As one of the most dynamic young firms in China, ELEV has projects ranging from a large-scale complex center (about 400,000sqm), a super five-star hotel (20,000sqm) to museum design and small, high-end fashion retail stores. Along with many world-class architecture firms, ELEV has been invited to participate in the design process for many important projects in Beijing, Tianjing and Inner Mongolia. ELEV’s projects have been featured in over twenty publications in over ten countries around the globe, including Time Architecture, Domus, Gestalten, and Rikuyosha.
